Meet Bill & Martha
Growing up in northern Indiana, Bill spent countless hours exploring the woods behind his family home, sparking a lifelong fascination with trees, texture, and making things by hand. After earning a degree in Forestry and Wood Products Management from Purdue University, his love of craft and story brought him to Nebraska to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He has spent his career in woodworking, from owning and operating Eno Cabinet Works in Lincoln to building a fully functioning workshop on the five acres he and Martha call home in rural Lancaster County.
After more than 25 years in public sector leadership, Martha, a Nebraska native, found her way into the workshop alongside Bill. She is a skilled refinisher and the steady hand behind the business’s operations. Her love for design began early, managing and curating antique malls throughout college, and later flowed into the gardens and landscapes of her homes that have hosted family graduations, weddings, and celebrations.
Together they are Prairie Wood Workshop, a place where fine woodcraft meets an artist’s sense of home and garden, and where clients are invited to dream, restore, and create.
